Enjoy a relaxing hour decorating a hand-built ceramic piece, made in-studio by the artist Samantha Carter and her team. Located in the Half Light Honey patio studio and retail space, this class is a great way to unwind while painting and carving the clay surface. When guests arrive, they'll choose from a variety of handmade ceramic pieces with various price-points to decorate (options might include : hanging planter, table planter w/ tray, mini planter, and small bowl, etc.). They will receive a brief lesson on ways to decorate their item, and can then choose to paint, stencil, etch, and design the surface of their piece using a selection of paint colors and tools. If guests finish decorating their piece before the end of the hour, they are welcome to purchase another piece to decorate. A clear coat glaze can be added for a small fee and fired by the host. If participants live out of town, they can have their item(s) shipped once fired at USPS priority shipping costs. Local attendees can choose to pick-up their item any day of the week from 9-5 or by appointment. The studio also has a gallery where attendees will have a chance to shop a selection of locally made art and the host's work. Beverages in glass bottles are allowed to be brought in, no food please.
